Ghosts of the American Revolution: Haunted Forts, Battlefields and Prison Ships

The journey begins at Fort Mifflin on the Delaware River and continues to Concord’s Colonial Inn, which served as a wartime hospital. Other stops include Old Tennent Church near the Monmouth battlefield, Copp’s Hill Burying Ground in Boston, the winter encampment at Jockey Hollow and the waters of Wallabout Bay, where the British prison ship HMS Jersey became a symbol of suffering. Fort Griswold and the Allen House Tavern add stories of betrayal, violence and spirits said to remain near the places where their lives changed.
