The journey begins at the Hex Murder House in Rehmeyer’s Hollow near Shrewsbury, Pennsylvania, then visits Franklin Castle in Cleveland and Kreischer Mansion on Staten Island. It continues to the house commonly called the Murder House in Boise and the Chicago site associated with H.H. Holmes’s so-called Murder Castle. The historical record varies greatly from one location to another, and some familiar claims have been enlarged through retelling.
