The voyage begins aboard Carnival Conquest and Norwegian Dawn, then visits Queen Mary and the story attached to the photographs taken aboard SS Watertown. It continues to USS Hornet (CV-12) in California and USS Constellation, the 1854 sloop-of-war preserved in Baltimore. The final account is North Carolina’s Flaming Ship of Ocracoke, a coastal legend rather than the history of a surviving vessel. |
