| Royal residences and fortresses preserve political history, family conflict, violence and ceremony on a monumental scale. This second Haunted Palaces collection crosses Europe and India for eight sites associated with reported apparitions and enduring legends.
The route begins in France at the Palace of Versailles and Chateau de Brissac. It then moves through Scotland with Edinburgh Castle, the Palace of Holyroodhouse and Linlithgow Palace before continuing to Sweden’s Drottningholm Palace. The final stops are Brij Raj Bhawan Palace in Kota, India, and Akershus Fortress in Oslo, Norway. |
