| Comfort Station No. 1 near the St. Petersburg Pier sounds like an unlikely setting for a ghost story. Built in 1927, the small public building has nevertheless accumulated reports that turn an everyday stop into one of the city’s more unusual haunted landmarks.
Visitors have described sudden cold drafts, mirrors that mist without an obvious cause and disembodied singing inside the station. Another recurring detail is a mysterious woman recognized only by her black patent shoes. |
