| Not every Richmond ghost story comes from the Victorian era or the Civil War. The building now used by VCU Honors College opened in the late 1970s as Richmond Metropolitan Hospital and did not close until 2000.
Students have shared stories about a poltergeist they call Gladys, and an old man glimpsed in mirrors and an elevator that behaves in unsettling ways. This short video uses those accounts to show how quickly new folklore can form around a building with an intense institutional past. |
