| The Alex Vega Key West Firehouse Museum occupies the former Old Firehouse No. 3 at 1024 Grinnell Street. Beginning in 1907, the station was home to Key West’s Sunnysouth Engine Company and Tiger Hose Company No. 3. It was decommissioned in 1998 and later preserved through the efforts of retired Key West Fire Department Captain Alex Vega and the island community. Today the museum tells more than a century of local firefighting history through vintage engines, equipment, the original bunk room and other artifacts.
