Atlantic beaches can look peaceful while preserving histories of storms, shipwrecks, war, displacement and community memory. This episode follows ghost stories along the southeastern and Mid-Atlantic coast of the United States.

The route begins at Pawleys Island and St. Helena Island in South Carolina, then continues to North Carolina’s Outer Banks and Tybee Island in Georgia. Each destination has a different cultural and historical setting behind its supernatural reputation.

The final stops are Point Lookout in Maryland and Virginia Beach.
