| Military installations preserve layers of service, conflict, training and institutional memory. This episode visits six active and former sites where that history has also produced reports of apparitions, unexplained sounds and other supernatural activity.
The route begins at F.E. Warren Air Force Base in Cheyenne, Wyoming, and Kadena Air Base in Okinawa, Japan. It then travels to Fort Leavenworth in Kansas and the former Plattsburgh Air Force Base in New York, whose military operations ended after the base closed in 1995. The final stops are Jefferson Barracks in Missouri and March Air Reserve Base in Riverside, California. Because these places encompass different eras and missions, the episode keeps documented military history separate from employee accounts, local legend and later paranormal interpretation. |
