June 21, 2021 – Haunted Military Bases

Haunts of Richmond presents Haunted Military Bases

Some of the most enduring ghost stories revolve around battlefields. That comes as no great surprise as the trauma and emotions that have permanently embedded themselves into the landscape can continue to echo for generations thereafter. What about away from the battlefield though? At its core, the purpose of the military is to defend the nation, and that very often involves dealing with death. Those whose have served in the military can speak to the energy and emotion associated with the profession, not just on the battlefield, but also in their own backyard. Perhaps that is why it should come as no surprise that military installations around the globe serve as the backdrop for many haunted tales and urban legends.

June 7, 2021 – Haunted Camping

Haunts of Richmond presents Haunted Camping

The fire has burned low and the darkness has set in. After hours of roasting marshmallows and partaking in some adult beverages, you think you’re ready to get some sleep. Then you hear it… Something rustling outside in the leaves. Not a breath of air is stirring and it can’t be your camp-mates who quickly succumbed to sleep just a few feet away. You start to think of the bloody haunted tales about your campsite that punctuated the evening’s chit-chat. While the stories drew laughter earlier, they now start to run wild in the depths of your imagination. Your heart rate rises as adrenaline mixes with the sugar and alcohol of the previously enjoyed fireside treats. What possessed you to stay at a haunted campground? When people ask about Haunts of Richmond’s style, we like to tell them that what you’ll hear on one of our tours is akin to telling ghost stories around a campfire. Tonight, we will give things a little twist as the ghost stories are about the spirits you might see with you at the campfire.

May 10, 2021 – Ghostly Flights & Eerie Airports

Haunts of Richmond presents Ghostly Flights & Eerie Airports

We’ve talked about haunted hotels, ghost ships, haunted highways, and now we take to the skies. Setting UFOs aside (we’ll check them out on another occasion), paranormal tales about air travel can be hard to come by. Most ghost stories are backed up by some credible eye witness experiences or the results of paranormal investigations, and while some of this evidence does exist as we will discuss tonight, we are wrapping airports into this episode to help round things out a bit. The next time you head to an airport, this resulting set of tales might just make you give some thought to those who have flown the skies before you, and make you wonder if that “empty middle seat” is truly empty after all.
